Hello from Canada! I found your blog while searching for things to do i nthe practice area. Funny that we both share some things in common. Work in IT, blog about our flying and have the same theme. Seriously, check it out.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for reading the blog and the comment. It looks like you have been flying a little longer than me. I noticed you get to do spin recovery training. My instructor will not do it. I will have to wait until I am finished with my training and go to an aerobatics instructor to do the spin recovery training.

I thin kthe big difference is that I am training in Canada. We have to do a spin demo but that’s about the end of it. I like that better than “just say no” but I’m not confident enough to try them myself just yet….
How do you never get any spin type entries when you do stall practice?

We just take the plane to the point where the nose drops and then recover from the stall. The FAA training does not require that you go into a spin and then recover. The FAA decided back in the 40’s that training in stall avoidance was better than teaching spin recovery. Also the FAA required manufacturers to make their aircraft more spin resistant.
I personally do not agree with no spin training or at least getting exposed to it, but that is the way it is. I will do the spin and upset recovery after I finish my training.
